If you’re reading this article, chances are you’re already planning posts in to social media content calendar and publishing on your social channels regularly. But coming up with new, compelling content month after month can be challenging.

One rule of thumb for social media is that the majority of your social media posts should inform, educate, and entertain your audience, while only a small portion, about 20 percent, should directly promote your business (e.g., purchase links, direct ads, sales links).

So, if you’re an artist known for the colorful, custom art in your eclectic gallery, a handful of your posts each month might be about the new paintings on sale at the gallery or an upcoming workshop.

The rest, however, might emphasize your “eclectic” brand identity. You could share profiles about little-known artists, post quirky video clips, or tie them into current events using your unique brand voice.

What’s important is discovering your brand’s voice and testing the posting ratio that works best for your brand

Your consumers are savvy enough to know that everything you post is, to some degree, trying to earn their business, even if it’s something that’s merely entertaining. What’s important is discovering your brand’s voice and testing the posting ratio that works best for your brand.

To give you a jump on ideas for all of that content, we’ve pulled together a list of March 2022 social media calendar content with themes, hashtags, and post ideas that will feed your feeds the entire month of March!

National Days of March

We admit it. Many of these so-called “national” days are so obscure or over-the-top as to seem useless, right? Yet, we think that’s what makes them kind of fun. You just have to use a little imagination.

I mean, national “Unique Names Day” on March 7? Just think of the possibilities for that post!

Example: Sending a shout out to some of our favorite clients, Maartje, Dyne, Apple, Marin, Jano, Nevaeh, in honor of #UniqueNamesDay We appreciate you!
